Nursery and Toddlers Our church nursery is open during all worship services for infants and toddlers ages 0-24 months. The nursery is located near the sanctuary and directly off the main foyer. (see CAMPUS MAP) Your baby will be cared for by loving, dedicated nursery volunteers in a clean, safe and cheerful environment allowing you to enjoy the worship service without distraction. Preschool Department We believe that preschoolers (age 2 through Pre-Kindergarten) can learn to worship, pray and to know Jesus as their special Friend who loves them. In our Preschool Bible classes, your child will have ample opportunity for play and movement in a safe, child-friendly environment. They will also learn simple truths from God's Word through age-level appropriate teaching using songs, action rhymes, visuals and active involvement in the lesson. Our preschool teachers and assistants are carefully screened and trained to provide your child with a happy church experience and spiritual guidance at their own level. Our parent call system allows us to notify you immediately if you are needed in the classroom. The classes are scheduled as follows: 8:30 am Sunday: One class in the Preschool Room (directly south of Toddlers' Nursery) (see CAMPUS MAP) for age 2 through Pre-K. 10:45 am Sunday: Two classes open. Two and three year olds meet in the Preschool Room. Fours and Pre-K fives meet in the West Fellowship Hall. (see CAMPUS MAP) If you child is in Kindergarten or older, we invite them to attend Kids' Come Together . 7:00 pm Wednesday: Two year olds go to Toddlers' Nursery. Three years old meet in the Preschool Classroom. Four's and Pre-K fives meet in the West Fellowship Hall. (see CAMPUS MAP) Our Wednesday evening class for 4's and Pre-K fives is for both boys and girls, and is the beginning level class for our Royal Ranger and Missionette programs which also meet on Wednesday evenings. The Adventure Zone is our Sunday morning Children's Church for children from Kindergarten through Grade Five. The Adventure Zone meets at Happy Harbor Preschool, across Wilmington Boulevard from the church. (see CAMPUS MAP) Just look for the balloons on the playground fence! You may sign your child in at the Registration Table just inside the Preschool gate. Take a moment to become acquainted with our excellent facilities and staffing, which include: *a large, fully fenced play area with safe, attractive and ample playground equipment *our team of screened, trained and equipped teachers and assistants *large, clean and fully equipped classrooms *easily accessible water fountains and restrooms After approximately ½ hour of playground time, your child will go to an age-level class for classroom time which includes worship and prayer, a lively, interesting Bible lesson and other learning activities, followed by snack time. Following snack time, children are again given the opportunity to enjoy the playground until they are signed out by their parent or other adult responsible for them. 8:30 am Sunday: Two classes are available, K-2nd grade and 3rd-5th grade. 10:45 am Sunday: We divide into three classes, K-1st, 2nd-3rd and 4th-5th. We believe that children learn to worship both in age-level groups as well as in the sanctuary with the congregation as a whole. Because of this, we request that children sit with their parents during the worship time on Sunday evenings. At the end of worship, the children are dismissed to H. W. Ezell Hall, located just south of the sanctuary. (see CAMPUS MAP) There they will enjoy an evening of Bible teaching, crafts, learning activities and refreshments. Parents are asked to go to Ezell Hall to sign their children out at the end of the evening service.
